Halloween!!!

I can't believe it came and went so fast!!! Halloween is over and now it's NOVEMBER!!! Where HAS 2009 gone? The boys decided they were going to be "Army soldiers" this year (well, honestly, Jackson decided HE was going to be a soldier - costume at WalMart - and then KK and Papa sent us a "Halloween Package" and there was another "Army soldier" costume in there so that was what Jonathan ended up wearing!! So cool!! They didn't even know Jackson had already decided to be a soldier!!!) and they were awesome!

Anyways, our Halloween weekend was full of much excitement!! It started on Friday morning where we were invited to our Chelsea's Mom Club party. Several of the moms set up "games"/"booths" for the kids to play and then get some candy. I had to work on Friday morning so my wonderful mother ("nan") was brave enough to take the boys by herself!!! They had a great time and I'm so glad she took them...

On Saturday, our neighborhood had their first annual Halloween parade. It was a little rainy but we grabbed our umbrellas and took off to enjoy the fun. Here are my army soldiers ready to make their debut in their first ever parade...
...and here they are marching!!
After the parade, they had a costume judging contest (which we were not the winners of - there were so many cute costumes that we didn't have a chance!!) and then went to do a craft. The boys had alot of fun decorating their placemat...especially Jackson. He is becoming so artistic lately!!That afternoon we went to our church's "Trunk or Treat". The weather started becoming sunny (thank you, Lord!!) and there were alot of our friends there. We decorated pumpkins and went to each "trunk" to see a story from the Bible - and get candy, of course.
After trunk or treat, our friends, The Fogle's, came over and we went trick or treating in the neighborhood. Phil and Brian stayed at the house to pass out candy and Bunny and I went with the kids. They had such a good time with their precious friends, Brooke and Nick.
Last, but not least, this is the candy bowl full of the candy that we RECEIVED!!! Not to mention that our "cookie jar" is slap full and can barely be closed!! We have pleny of candy to last us a very long time!!
So, we moved the clocks back an hour, took showers and went to bed. The boys didn't even wake up until 7:30 the next morning (which is 8:30 on their body clock). They must have been really tired!! We had a great weekend and can't wait until next year. Happy Halloween everyone!!!
