Funny Jackson Story

Jackson said something really cute tonight at the dinner table, but before I tell you what he said, let me give you the "background information". Last night Liberty Baptist (our church) had one of those busses used for donating blood in the parking lot. Jackson was SO excited to see the bus and began asking all kinds of questions about it. Brian and I did the best we could to explain to him the purpose in that bus...."This is where people donate their blood to give to the people who are sick and need the blood", "This isn't a bus that goes to the school, it's only used to give your blood away", etc. I know, it may not be the best explanation, but it's the best we could do for a 4 year old. So, fst forward to tonight. Brian isn't feeling well at all - his throat his hurting and he's having a huge problem with post nasal drip. So, he was eating soup while the rest of us were eating tacos. Once again, our curious Jackson asked Brian why he was eating soup and not tacos. Brian went on to explain to him that his throat was hurting so he couldn't eat the hard shells and that is why he was having soup. Jackson sat for a minute and then said, "Hey dad, you could go to that bus!! They have blood that will help you get better!!" It was so cute and Brian and I couldn't contain ourselves!! Jackson was right - to a point - and all he cared about was finding a way to make his daddy feel better. We love you, Jackson!!
