So Christmas has come and gone and it was a great one for our family. It started with a visit from Santa on Christmas Eve - he always comes through our neighborhood before he goes out for the night. The boys had actually layed down to rest (and fell asleep) so we ended up waking them up so they could come out and wave to Santa.

After the Christmas Eve service at church, we came home and was surprised by a visit from Big Daddy and Nan. I, for one, was so excited that they came. They boys really wanted them to be here and I'm so glad they did. SO, after our greetings, we started making our cookies for Santa (our annual tradition) and the boys watched them bake...
Then we started our letter to Santa and the boys signed their names.....
Then it was time to TRY to get the boys calmed down enough to go to bed. Every year I haven't really worried about the boys NOT going to sleep and coming down the stairs - they just hven't gotten it. Well, that all changed this year. Jackson came down the stairs THREE times before we finally got him to stay in bed. I can't imagine what it will be like in the years to come (at least until they're teenagers and just want to sleep in).
So, the next morning, Jackson woke up first and preceeded to wake up Jonathan - who was clearly not ready to be awake (here he is pouting about HAVING to open up presents!!!)..
And then the fun begins.....Jackson opens up his scooter from Santa...
And Jonathan opens his new "cars" from Santa...
And now they open gifts from family....
These glitter balls were a HIT!!! Who would have thought that a $2.00 gift would have been a fave!! (and, for those of you in my SS class, yes, Jonathan is wearing the tiger hat and his is wearing it the CORRECT way!!)...
Jackson got a new tool box from Papa and KK and he was so excited to go through all of his tools...

By far one of Jackson's favorites gifts....his Spiderman watch!!

And the big gift from mom and dad.....new "nay nay bikes" (bikes with motorcycle seats)...
Jeffrey must have been sad to see Santa leave up the fireplace because this is where he was on Christmas morning....
Christmas afternoon we packed up and headed to Big Daddy and Nan's house to do Christmas with them. The boys got another one of their favorite gifts and mommy and daddy really like it to.....
So, why is it that IMMEDIATELY after putting on the full football uniform the boys start tackling each other. They have never done this before and this was all they did for the rest of the night...
