Jackson's 5th Birthday!!!

Well, it happened....our sweet Jackson turned 5 on August 1st. In between a quick visit to Augusta for Pop's funeral and leaving for a week vacation to the beach, we managed to squeeze in a birthday celebration for Jackson and his friend, Brooks (who also turned 5 on August 12). We pulled out the famous Bonzai slide and invited a few friends over for the fun. Brooks' mommy, Ashleigh (who is also a dear friend of mine) made the boys their "cookie cakes" and they were super yummy!!! We were glad it didn't rain and much fun was had by all!!

That night, Nan and Big Daddy came into town and we all went to dinner at a Japanese Steakhouse (our favorite)!!! Jackson LOVES the fire and really ate alot of food!! Anyways, his Aunt Beth gave him a giftcard to Target and, after his daddy explained to him what that was, he was SUPER ready to go "spend his special ticket". So, after dinner, we went to Target where Jackson had gotten the Batman Castle. It was such a special treat to see him spend his "special ticket". He had so much fun!!!

Jackson, It is so hard for me to believe that you are 5. You could have started Kindergarten this year and that just makes me sad. You are such a sweet boy and mommy and daddy love you so much!! We pray everyday that you will grow to love the Lord as your personal savior and that you will delight Him in all you say and all you do. May you enjoy your "6th year" and may it be full of many blessings for you!!!
