Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween - it's such a fun time of the year!!! The weather is cooler (or at least it was this year), the days are shorter and it's just that much closer to the holidays!! There is so many fun things to do with decorating the house, dressing up the kiddos and hanging out with friends. This year we found ourselves at our friends, The Alexander's, house again. We ate chili, hot dog mummies, rice crispie treats and cookies. The kiddos were loaded up in the trailer and Brian pulled them with the 4 wheeler through the neighborhood to go trick or treating. It was a blast!!!

Jonathan wasn't very interested in the "costume" business this year, so we fell back on our very creative "Farmer Jon" outfit (complete with Carhart overalls, white Tshirt, Flannel button down, straw hat and, of course, freckles made from mommy's eyeliner). He was a cutie but hopefully he'll be more tolerant of the normal costumes next year. This is a pic of him with his best bud, Nick. (BTW, Nick is about 1 1/2 months younger than Jonathan but b/c Jonathan is SO tall and Nick is SO short - you'd think they were further apart)!! They are so cute and have SO much fun when they are together!!
Jackson, on the other hand, was ALL ABOUT the costumes this year. A sweet friend of mine offered for us to come over and look through her son's "costumes". He had everything from Spider Man, Darth Vader, Ninja Turtles and much more. As you'll see, Jackson went immediately for BatMan!! He loved it and wanted to wear the costume ALL of the time!!! I think he looked great and I'm excited to see what he'll be next year.

So, for this year, Halloween is over. We have enough candy to potty train the whole neighborhood and I think it will last us a VERY long time. I hope everyone else had a great Halloween too!!!
