Frog Tales

As you can see, I have changed my blog to include.....FROGS!! Why? The story goes like this.... Jackson is vey much into bugs right now. Any kind of bugs, insects, animals - it doesn't matter. As a matter of fact, the slimier the better!!! So much fun for mommy!!

So, a couple of weeks ago Jackson and his friend was over at our neighbor's house "fishing" in her little pond. (Please note: "Fishing" for Jackson includes a net that you put in the water and hope something comes out when you lift it out of the water). SO, as he was "fishing" with his friend he caught ALOT of "minnows" and put them in a bucket with some water and proceeded to put them in our garage.

A few days later (a Monday), Brian went out of town on business for the week and my sweet momma came up to watch the boys while I went to work. When we were walking my mom to her car for her to go home, mom tells Jackson to take care of his tadpoles in his aquarium (in his room!). TADPOLES? WHAT?! Yep, you read right....those "minnows" were tadpoles and my sweet, funny hubby decided to put ALL OF THEM in Jackson's acquarium IN HIS ROOM while he was OUT OF TOWN FOR THE WEEK!!! WHAT?!?! (Just in case you need some education on what happens to tadpoles......they turn into FROGS!!!)

Needless to say, our daily routine NOW consists of seeing what frogs are ready to come out of the acquarium so we can "catch" them with a net, put them in a cup and take them outside to their new, and hopefully, final home.

On an end note, I must give Brian some credit...this has been a great teaching opportunity for Jackson. He is SO into this and everyday wants to see what frogs are ready and what frogs need to stay in the water a little more. So, here is to why our blog now has frogs on the background!!!
